Match lines automatically (organization)
Organization space Accounting module For: Accountant · Permission: letterings.auto Conditions
  • The book is the one selected for the request: the {book} segment in the organization space, or the client account’s own books in the client space.
  • The accounting module must be included in the plan of the organization.
  • The book must be set up for accounting (it must have at least one journal).
  • accounting_account_id is required and must be an account of this book.
  • The account must be postable and its code must start with 4 (third-party accounts).
What else happens
  • Creates matches in two passes over the account’s unmatched lines (carry-forward restatement lines are left out): first, all the lines sharing the same non-empty entry reference, when there are at least two of them, their debits equal their credits and the total is not zero; then pairs of one debit line and one credit line of equal amount, taking the oldest first.
  • Marks the matched lines, so they leave the open items. Codes continue the account’s sequence. When nothing matches, the list is empty and nothing changes.
