Comlan starts with List unmatched account lines on the customer account. The answer lists the lines of that account that are not matched yet, and he can filter them by date and by debit or credit.Match lines by hand
A customer paid two invoices with one transfer. Comlan picks the two invoice lines and the payment line, and records the match with Match lines together. The lines leave the open items. Each match receives a short code, which he can quote when he explains the account to Afiavi.Let Exowpee match the obvious ones
Hundreds of lines pair up cleanly: a payment with the same reference as its invoice, or equal amounts. Comlan runs Match lines automatically on the account. Exowpee first matches lines that share a reference and balance exactly. Then it pairs one debit and one credit of equal amount, oldest first. What does not match stays open for Comlan to handle by hand.Review and undo
List letterings shows the matches of an account, and can be narrowed to one code. When two lines were matched by mistake, Undo a match releases them, and they appear again as open items. The rules
- Only accounts that can receive entries and whose code starts with 4 (third-party accounts) can be matched.
- A manual match needs 2 to 1,000 different lines, all on the chosen account, none already matched. The debit total must equal the credit total.
- Carry-forward restatement lines cannot be matched, by hand or automatically.
- The automatic match passes over lines in two steps: first lines with the same non-empty entry reference that balance exactly and are not zero, then one debit and one credit of equal amount, the oldest first. When nothing matches, the result is empty and nothing changes.
- Match codes run AAA, AAB and so on to ZZZ, then AAAA. A code is reused after an undo only when it was the latest of the account.
- Undoing a match deletes it permanently, and its lines become open items again.
- Reversing an entry takes its lines out of their matches and reopens the other lines of those groups.
- Listing the unmatched lines needs the permission to list journal entries. The other actions have their own permissions.
- The accounting module must be in the plan, and the book must be set up for accounting. In the organization space the person needs an access grant on the book: List unmatched account lines, Match lines together, Match lines automatically, List letterings and Undo a match.
- Listing matches and matching lines both need an account of the selected book.
