Mahougnon Tossou is the accountant of Groupe Gbaguidi. His name is on the books of the company in Cotonou and on those of the company in Parakou, and he also has a profile in the organization. He wants to change a phone number, move between the companies without signing in again, and stop missing the alerts that concern him. The same steps apply to anyone who belongs to more than one company, organization or client account, or who wants to control what Exowpee tells them.

See and edit your own account

Mahougnon opens his account with View my account. It shows who is signed in, and for a person, the profiles active in the space he is working in. When he wonders why a button is missing, he checks List my permissions. The answer follows the profile he is using, plus any permission given to him directly. His number changed, so he updates it with Update my account details. He can edit only his first name, last name and phone number. His email and password are changed elsewhere, as described in Sign up and sign in.

Switch between your profiles

On Monday he works for Parakou, and on Tuesday for Cotonou. In the company space, Switch company profile moves him to the other company. The same switch exists for the organization space with Switch organization profile and for the client space with Switch client profile. Each switch works only with a profile that has been given to him and that is still active, in a company or client account that is still active, and while he is still an active member there. The switch signs him out of his other sessions in that kind of space. If he has the company space open on his phone, he signs in there again.

Read your notifications

When a sale waits for approval or a stock level drops, Exowpee tells the right people. Mahougnon sees the number of waiting messages with Count unread notifications, opens the list with List my notifications and clears one with Mark a notification read. The list shows unread messages by default; he can ask for all of them.

Choose who is told

Someone with the right permission decides which notifications are sent and to whom. Sèdjro Gbaguidi opens View notification settings to see each type of notification, its channels (in the app, by email) and who receives it. He changes one type at a time with Configure a notification type. For stock alerts, he picks the people who get them and can add outside email addresses, for example a storekeeper who does not use the app. Alerts about sales awaiting approval go to everyone who may approve orders. He can only switch their channels on or off.

The rules

  • Your account page and your permissions need a signed-in session, and no permission. Agent accounts have no email or personal profile to edit: updating your details is for people, in the company, client or organization space.
  • You can edit only your own account. Another person’s account is refused. A name has 3 to 250 characters, a phone number 3 to 30. The phone number must not belong to another account. A value you leave out, or send empty, is kept: a field cannot be cleared.
  • A switch needs a profile assigned to you, active, of the same kind of space as the switch you use. Agents cannot switch.
  • Switching ends your earlier sessions of the same kind of space (company, client or organization) on every device and gives you a new session for the chosen profile. Sessions in the other kinds of space stay open.
  • The notification actions work in the company space only. You see only the notifications addressed to you: those about your account, such as a password change, and those of your active profile. For an agent, those of the agent. Nobody sees other people’s notifications.
  • The notification list shows unread messages by default, 15 per page and at most 100, with the most recent first. A notification you already read keeps its first read time.
  • The two types of notification are awaiting approval and stock alert. A configure call needs at least one channel, each given once, with its on or off state. Stock alert recipients must be people or agents of the company, and agents cannot receive the email channel. For a type with recipients, the lists you send replace the previous ones for that channel, and a list you leave out empties it. Channels you do not send are untouched.
  • Apps also use Check for data refresh to know which updates a device has already read.
