Who works where
The organization is the top level. Its owner is the member recorded as the organization’s owner, here Sèdjro. He works in the organization space, from which he sees all the companies. Each company has its own company space, where its team sells, buys and counts stock. This page is about the organization space. Where an action also exists in the company space, the rules below say so.Check and rename the organization
Sèdjro opens his organization with View my organization. When the group changes its trade name, he changes it with Rename my organization.Create a company
Natitingou is ready. Sèdjro creates the company with Create a company. He gives it a name, a type, its country and fiscal status, and the currency of its orders. He can add a logo. Exowpee then prepares the company:- The company starts active, and Sèdjro becomes its owner, one of its members and holds its administrator role.
- It gets default settings: the order currency Sèdjro chose, the time zone Africa/Porto-Novo, no rounding and a default tax value of 18.
- Its accounting books are opened for the current calendar year, with a cash account named after the company.
- The built-in capability roles created for it are attached to it. Sèdjro removes those it should not have, as described below.
See your companies
Sèdjro lists his companies with List organization companies, filtered by name or by active state, and opens one with View a company.Switch a company off and on
The Parakou company closes for a month. Sèdjro uses Deactivate a company. When it reopens he uses Activate a company. Nothing is deleted: the company keeps its data and can be switched back on.Choose what each company can do
Companies do not all do the same things. Natitingou only sells; Cotonou also manages the warehouse. Sèdjro gives a company access to a group of features with Add a role to a company, and withdraws it with Remove a role from a company. He sees which roles a company holds with List a company’s roles. In parts of Exowpee such as the catalogue, an action needs both the company to hold the matching role and the person to hold the permission, so these roles limit what the company’s members and agent accounts can do there. How people receive access inside the company is covered in Define access profiles and roles. The rules
